Baby Loralai

Yesterday I dropped by Will and Brooke's house to meet their new arrival. Meet the beautiful Miss Loralai. Loralai arrived a little early and is now two weeks old. Of course, I had to take a few photos while I was there. I normally shoot all my photographs in a RAW format and did not realize that the camera was shooting in JPEG. My husband had been using my camera and cleared all of my settings. This just makes editing a bit more difficult as the camera chooses the white balance for me. I ended up changing most of them to black and white which I really loved so it was a good compromise. Lesson learned to check my settings before I shoot. :)

This next shot is my absolute favorite. I can just feel the love in this image.

Some daddy love...

Welcome to the world Loralai and congrats to Will & Brooke!

John, Anita, Ian, Ashley, Kira, Jaeden, & Brenna

This was the second session I had last weekend so I am a bit behind in my blogging. I have known Anita for a few years now and when she asked me to take photos of her blended family I was excited to do so. This family is full of fun and laughter and what a fun session this was! John and Anita are mom and dad and the kids are from oldest to youngest Ian, Ashley, Kira, Jaeden, and Brenna.

I met this family at the Donald E Davis Auboretum at the Auburn University campus. It was my first time at the university and Auboretum and it was such a great location for photographs. I have a ton of photos to blog so enjoy!

We had some gorgeous light to work with.

Jaeden was the most active boy during the shoot. My hubby tagged along for this shot and did a great job just hanging out with him while we got shots of the other kids and mom and dad.

We spent quite a bit of time hanging out in the trees.

Love this shot of John and Anita.

I just adore these next shots of Brenna.

In case you are wondering, I intentionally had the flowers in focus and Brenna a bit out of focus. :-)

Kira was determined on hanging upside down in the tree for a photograph.

Thanks for a great shoot!

Wade & Shakeena | Expecting

Wade and Shakeena are expecting their first child next month. They are having a little boy named Bailey. So they asked me to do their maternity shoot for them. This was the first of two shoots this past weekend so it was a busy day for me. All of the pictures were taken in uptown Columbus and I love how they turned out.

This shot has their 4d ultrasound of little Bailey.

This next one is one of my favorites from the shoot.

I love the colors in this next one.

Congrats on your new arrival! Can't wait to meet him.

Wade + Jennifer | Married

One day, he came upon her profile on the internet and took a chance on saying hello. She was a single mom busy with her child and teaching with school district that she did not immediately respond. He was persistent in his pursuit of her. She finally gave in and agreed to a date. It was on their second date, that they became inseparable and love began to grow.

He always knew the perfect women for him would love to travel--everywhere and anywhere and with out any complaints. When he found her he knew she was the one when he asked her to take a trip to Europe AND she agreed. It was on their travels to Belgium this past November, after a twisted ankle and lots of sight seeing, that he knew he had to make her his wife. So on that November night, he led her to a stone bridge with violin music playing and lots of Belgium chocolate, this man asked this beautiful woman to be his wife.

She always knew the perfect man for her would respect her, be a fantastic father to her daughter, and make her feel important. When she met this man, he was excellent in communicating with her and getting her to open up when she was worried and stressed. The best part of this man was that he amazing with her daughter. So when this man asked this woman on that November night in Belgium, she whole-heartedly said Y-E-S! For this was the way she always thought a family should be.

Wade and Jennifer were married this past Sunday at the Columbus Hilton Garden Inn and I was so happy to be a part of their day. The ladies were getting ready for the day when I joined them.

The rings... Just love this one of Jennifer. Wade and Jennifer agreed for a first look so we were able to get lots of great portraits. Here are a few.

The bridal party.

We tried to get Jennifer's daughter Hannah to take pictures with the party but she was feeling a bit shy. I love this shot of Jennifer talking to her.

Hannah walked her mom down the aisle. The most precious part of the ceremony was when Wade committed himself to Hannah with a special gift.

Husband and Wife...YAY
Wade and Jennifer have a great sense of humor and the recessional was a hoot. Instead of walking out like most couples, they escaped through the side door with Hannah. It left everyone a bit shocked. Don't worry, they came back for the reception.

Here is the reception decor.

The gorgeous cake from Columbus Corner Bakery.

Wade's groom cake was Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in the shape of a heart. YUM!

Congrats on your marriage! Hope you are having a fantastic honeymoon.
