Jenna Belew | Wedding and Event Planner

This past weekend, I got together with Jenna Belew of J-Lou's Wedding and Event Planning services. I met Jenna last month when one of her clients interviewed me for their wedding. Jenna's portfolio is amazing and her business is growing. If you are newly engaged and are in the planning process, I highly encourage you to check out her services as it can relieve a lot of pressure when you have someone that will ensure your wedding day is absolutely perfect. She offers an entire event planning service as well as Day of Coordination services.

The intent of this shoot was to get some head shots and some other creative shots; however, the weather did not seem to cooperate. We ended up just doing a few head shots and in a few weeks we are planning meet again for the more creative shots. I will be sharing those at a later date. For now, here are a few more from our mini-session.

Arlanna Grayce | Portraits

This past Wednesday, I got to photograph this sweet little girl, Arlanna Grayce. What a beautiful name for such a precious baby girl!!!! Arlanna arrived into the world four weeks early and just a bit over five pounds. Fortunately she had no complications from her early arrival and other than being on the tiny side, she was perfect! She was 4 weeks old at the time of the shoot.

When her grandmother contacted me two weeks ago, she told me how important it was to her and her daughter to capture Arlanna when she was so tiny as they knew she would grow up fast. The above picture is my absolute favorite image from our session. Here are a few more of my favorites.

The box in the image below belonged to Arlanna's great grandfather.

Arlanna's parents both active in Tae Kwon Do and they wanted to get a picture with their belts in it.

This bassinette was Arlanna's mom when she was a baby and was recently restored by her grandfather so it was incredibly important that they had pictures of her in it.

Of course Ms Sassie had to grace the blog. She was a constant companion during the shoot.

Torve + Shaina | Expecting

Torve and Shaina are college sweethearts from Valdosta, GA and have been married now for 4 years. In September, they are expecting their first child, a baby girl they are naming Reagan.

This past weekend, we met at Flat Rock Park for their maternity session and these two were just a joy to work with. They clearly have chemistry and their pictures show. I love it when the couple I am working with have no problem showing their love for each other in front of the lens. By the time the session was over with, it was clear they were naturals at this. It makes my job so much easier and the pictures have such a natural feel.

I also have to say that these were troupers during the whole shoot. The heat and humidity was overwhelming even at 6 pm, but they stuck it out. We, of course, had to take some time out to cool down in between shooting and a special shout out to my hubby for being our unpaid chauffeur and keeping us cool.

Baby Cason

Last week I got the privilege of photographing this cutie. This is Baby Cason and he was almost three weeks old at the time of the shoot. Mom had a tough pregnancy and was extremely happy when he made an early arrival.

I just love his beautiful hands.

And his long toes! Just love it!

My absolute favorite of the day. Getting some kisses from momma just makes me smile.
