Columbus, GA wedding photographer More from Steven and Courtney's wedding

I have done some more editing to Courtney and Steven's wedding so I thought I would share a few more of my favorites and are in no particular order.

My husband, Garland, who is also assisting me at my weddings, grabbed the camera and took this gem. They were watching the little children dancing and playing and I just love the joy in their expressions.

This one just creates a warm and fuzzy feeling for me. :-)

I like how the focus of this one draws your eye to the back of the image and creates a sense of depth.

Hmmm...LOVE her expression and how he is looking at her.

Bridesmaid Chelbie looks in deep thought. Again like the depth that is created in the image.

I have nothing else to say but that I adore this one. He looks like he is totally in love with her and she looks radiant.

I stilll have lots of editing to do before handing these over to the Steven and Courtney. I hope you have enjoyed these posts.

Let me know your thoughts. I would love to hear from you.

Columbus, Ga Wedding Photographer Steven & Courtney

Saturday was a cold and gloomy day but that did not stop the excitement of Steven and Courtney's wedding day. The girl's day began at Courtney's grandmothers house. Courtney warned me in our client meeting that she would be very anxious; however, she was completely the opposite. Here are a few of my favorite shots throughout the day.

I love the joy of this shot. Courtney and bridesmaid Chelbie laughed and sang most of the morning and this was a shot I caught in the mirror while they were preparing.

Nervous energy before the ceremony...

At last, husband and wife....

Such a sweet mother and son dance. Can you see the tears?

Courtney's mom made all the bridal bouquets and this beautiful cake.

In spite of the weather, we attempted to do some outdoor shots but it was just too cold. Perhaps we can do a post wedding shoot to get some great shots.

Congrats to Courtney and Steven! Thank you for making me a part of your day.

Columbus, Ga Photographer Expectations for 2010

It has been a quiet month so far here at Becky Huff Photography which doesn't sit well with the plans I have in store to grow my business. I knew the website would not magically increase traffic, but I thought perhaps I might get more hits than I am.

So we must go for plan B...getting my name out there. I have decided to purchase a booth at the upcoming Columbus Ledger-Enquirer Bridal Show on February 21, 2010 to boost name recognition. I am excited to see if this will increase traffic to my website and potential clients. One week before the show...for those who are counting it is Valentine's day...the following ad will appear in the Bridal Show special section so be sure to look out for it.

I have toyed with the idea of running weekly ads; however, I have not come to a decision if this is the best solution to my situation. A portion of the problem lies in the search engine readiness and the popularity that is recognized by the search engine. If you are not a popular site, you fall down in the rankings thus getting fewer hits. For now, I am going to hit the bridal shops and see if I cannot build some relationships.

The good news is that Saturday I will be meeting with a potential client about a wedding very soon...the 23rd to be exact. I will keep you posted.

Columbus, Ga Photographer Superman and my popcorn lovin' dogs

If you have been reading my blog for some time now, you know that I am absolutely crazy about my 3 year old nephew. He is a silly bundle of pure energy from the moment he wakes up to when he goes to sleep. We generally have him for a sleep over once a week and we do all kinds of things. One of his favorite things to do is go to the coffeehouse (aka...Starbucks) which we also love. His other favorite thing is his Superman pj's. He is always standing in front of the mirror admiring his Superman outfit. I couldn't help but pull out my camera to capture a few awesome shots.

Superman in mid air...
Superman from behind...

This one really does look like Superman...

Another thing we love to do is make homemade popcorn. This is a popcorn bowl set my mother-in-law found and gave to us for Christmas.

My dogs L-O-V-E popcorn and go crazy over it. They know before the popcorn hits the pan that it is popcorn time. Here is a shot of them scarfing it up....

That's all I have for now.
